Chapter 21.0

Introduction

Clear and unambiguous communication between the pilot and the air traffic controller contributes significantly to the safe conduct of the flight. In order to guarantee clear communication, a high degree of discipline is required from the pilot in the application of communication procedures.

This chapter covers the most important basics and serves as an introduction to VFR communication. It does not claim to be complete. For preparation for the VFR communication exam, contact a flight school.
