Technical Acceptance of the Aircraft

When taking over an aircraft, the condition report / TECH LOG is checked for entries. If such entries are present, you decide whether you will carry out the flight under these circumstances.

Refueling

You know the necessary quantity of fuel according to your calculations: whether you fill it up yourself or you are present during the refueling you will be able to insure that:

  • refueling is done properly (bonding, handling of tank caps)
  • the proper fuel is chosen
  • the calculated quantity is filled
  • the proper distribution of fuel in the tanks
  • the fuel tanks are properly closed

The contents of the fuel tanks are visually verified after the refueling.

Walk Around, Removing Locks and Protective Covers

Personal confirmation of the removal and storage of devices that are used to anchor the aircraft to the ground are an important part of the external control.

The WALK AROUND and parts of the aircraft to be verified are described in the AFM.
