Safety measures prior to ENGINE START

The red ROTATING BEACON should be switched on before starting the engine as a recognizable danger warning to those outside.

CAUTION:

Because of the possible danger to vision, STROBE LIGHTS should not be switched on on
the parking areas or taxiways.

Safety measures prior to ENGINE START

The crew maintains a visual control of the immediate area around the aircraft so that nobody enters the danger zone around the propeller.
