Doors / Canopy
In order to leave the airplane in an emergency, it is necessary to know the mechanisms involved in the opening and closure of doors and windows or canopies. Their function must be understood by all occupants before the beginning of a flight.
Passengers who are unfamiliar with them shall be instructed prior to a flight.
Seatbelts and their Adjustment
All occupants of an airplane must know the function of the seatbelt buckle and the mechanism for adjustment. Available shoulder harnesses should be used by all occupants.

Emergency Equipment
Before the beginning of a flight you should familiarise yourself with the location and usage of safety installations and equipment. Verification of their operational state, functions and whether they are complete.
Prescribed Emergency Equipment:

Portable Emergency Equipment:
- List of procedures for ABNORMAL SITUATIONS and EMERGENCIES
- Fire Extinguisher, crash axe, fire-proof gloves
- Waterproof Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)
- Waterproof Flashlight
- First Aid Kit

Flashlight for each crew member
Over-water flights:
Life-vests for each occupant, eventually a liferaft, light beacon, flare gun, fluorescent dye, mirror, drysuit.
Flights over mountains:
Appropriate clothing (warm clothes and appropriate footwear)
