Objectives

To know the procedures and checks for the final approach

To know the runway view for a standard approach

Establishing the Landing Configuration

If, for operational reasons this has not been done beforehand, the final approach configuration must be established after the FINAL turn by extending the flaps.

Speed will then be reduced to V FINAL APP.

LANDING CHECK

After completing the FINAL APPROACH CONFIGURATION you perform the LANDING CHECK (about halfway down the Final).

The LANDING CHECK is of greatest importance. The number of ITEMS to check depends on the aircraft.
