Procedures for Abnormal Situations and Emergencies

Chapter 1.6

Behaviour when in Abnormal Situations and Emergencies

In case of an Emergency, a quick analysis of the situation is required and approriate actions undertaken.

Responsibility is primarily that of the Pilot-In-Command (PIC).

You will be trained to the task before having to make decisions individually.

The Checklist

During abnormal situations and emergencies, we perform CHECKS and PROCEDURES according to checklists.

These checklists are an integral part of the equipment of the aircraft. It is an excerpt from the AFM.

To be easily recognizable, they are marked in a special colour (in most cases, printed on red paper or they have a red border).
