The colors of taxiway markings

  • The CENTERLINES are yellow, with green lighting
  • The taxiway edge lines are white, with blue lighting




The colors of taxiway markings

  • The separation lines between the taxiway and the runway are yellow, different for CAT I and CAT II / III
  • The markings of the runway are white

Obligation to follow the Centerline

The following of the yellow guide lines is compulsory

If one has to leave the taxiway centerline, sufficient distance from obstacles must be maintained

The Pilot in Command is solely responsible for the obstacle clearance

Just: look over the Taxiway centerline in one's line of sight

Do Not: look diagonally over the midline of the aircraft

Failure to respect the signs and markings on taxiways, together with lack of attention during the taxi can cause serious damage!

Damage to airplane CHF 2000.—
Damage to fuel station (panel) CHF 1700.—
Total CHF 3700.—
