Entry into the Climb
Chapter 7.2
LOOKOUT before starting a climb
Before starting a climb, perform a LOOKOUT of the airspace above and behind the airplane to make sure the climb flight path is clear of conflicting traffic.
The space in front of the airplane can be monitored by slight course changes.
Types of Climb
A sufficient power reserve allows for the following types of climb:
Climb at a given speed
Climb with a given rate of climb
Choice of climb speed
The climb with the basic school airplanes is carried out at prescribed airspeeds, according to the operational requirements. For these aircraft, the following speeds have been defined:
Climbing Transition Procedures, POWER / ATTITUDE / TRIM
Climbing Transition Procedures, POWER / ATTITUDE / TRIM
The aircraft has to be brought into a previously known REFERENCE ATTITUDE for Vx or Vy.
